beingmormon:

So from what I’m reading in the Mormon tag, a lot of people are really upset that someone baptized Anne Frank. And I’m reading that you can’t baptize holocaust victims? Why…?

Sorry I ran out of room to answer and thought I could answer again =/

So the thing is there have been people who have done work for people they should NOT have done because they were violating protocol and procedures. There are rules about who can do the work based on them being in your family, how long it has been since they have died (I believe its a 150 year since birth rule, that if its been less than 150 years they have to have next of kin permission)

Anyway, it has happened before and there was a huge controversy, and then it happened again recently making a lot of people mad. Its sad when people break the rules to do what is supposed to be sacred work =(
